The Northwest Carving Academy is a world-class carving event that features instruction on hand and power carving, pyrography, painting, design and basket weaving. Depending on availability and interest classes are also offered for spouses and partners. Check our website for available classes and to register.

The Northwest Carving Academy is held each year in Ellensburg, Washington at the Kittitas County Fairgrounds Event Center. A number of hotels are available nearby as well as RV campsites on fairgrounds. See the registration page for more details. Add some extra time to come early or stay late and take in some of the wonderful sites in and around Ellensburg. Each year, people attending the academy are encouraged to enter their carvings or pyrography in the People's Choice gallery. Everyone attending the academy will have an opportunity to vote on their choice for the People's Choice Award and recognize the winners at an ice cream social. Attendees with special talents are also welcomed to participate in the annual talent show.
