The Board operates under the authority of City Ordinance No. 3937 and is responsible for:
Providing citizen input to the City Manager, City Council, and the Library Director
Considering and recommending policy to govern operations and programs of the library
Making recommendations for Director appointments
Participating in efforts to secure library funds
Advising the Director during budget preparations
Assisting the Director in developing policies including collection development
Supporting and participating in public relations and marketing programs
Meetings
